March 1, 2014 Vol. 28, No. 1 [p. 1]

Trust me, spring will come- after the ice and the cold! The Japanese magnolia is beginning to have tiny hard buds; frequently it blooms in February. Even the daffodils are beginning to poke their leaves. I thought I'd include photos from the past just to give us all hope.

After the first two weekend retreats in December, the remainder of the month was about reaching out. Mary and I sang in the Columbus Sings Messiah; Mary was in charge of Corpus Christi's Angel tree and we delivered the donations of the parish; we went to see our old friends, Jean Haspeslagh and Elaine Fish who are in Emeritus Care Center in Hattiesburg and, of course, led the music at our Christmas celebrations at our parish. What a rich and full time.

Last month we had our semi-annual Advisory Board meeting and were pleased to announce and celebrate God's faithfulness through the many retreatants and activities of last year and to plan for 2014.

As we began February, Columbus Air Force Base brought their RCIA group and other retreatants are finding their way here to be touched by the Lord in extended days of silence. Vincent de Paul group was here last weekend and has been energized by their sharing and prayer to continue their charitable work in Columbus.

This coming weekend our Dwelling Place Community and Associates will gather for prayer, community building and planning.

As we finish off the month, University Baptist Church from Starkville will come for an overnight of retreat and service. (N.B. Mary and I love the service dimension!)

As you read this letter, may the Spirit lead you to spend some time in prayer here or inspire you to assist us in various ways to continue this ministry.

Extra Yarn, Anyone?

Mary is putting out a plea for yarn that anyone might have left over from projects, completed or abandoned.

Help her Honduran mission project. Just bring them to the Dwelling Place next time you come or send them.
