Volunteers are needed with skills in retreat work, building and ground maintenances, food service, library, and computer and secretarial work.
Local volunteers contribute a morning, a day, or a weekend as time permits. Individuals from other areas of the country often travel to The Dwelling Place to live and work with the staff and other volunteers for short-term or long-term periods.
Formation-
Resident volunteers are encouraged to continue their spiritual growth while serving others. Volunteers come together with The Dwelling Place Community for weekend gatherings throughout the year to foster continued spiritual growth.
Finances-
Resident volunteers are provided with housing, food, and a small stipend for personal expenses. Health insurance is offered if time of service is at least one year. Individuals are expected to cover the cost of travel to The Dwelling Place.
Qualifications-
Married couples and single men and women, twenty-one years of age and older are eligible. Applicants should have a desire to foster the reign of God by serving in this multicultural area of Mississippi.
